Below is the final product of my double page spread. This product had to be changed multiple times as certain aspects did not follow codes and conventions or relate to the target audience i was aiming for. However i feel this design was my most well structured, layed out and appealing of the few designs i produced.
This next screen grab is my contents page without the drop quote i included, without a drop quote this double page spread looks plain and is not appealing. The drop quote i used was also one that my target audience would be able to relate to as it is about a TV drama which is about and aimed at the same target audience as mine.
This shows my DPS without any text and it begins to show the basic 'U' shaped structure that i was aiming for. I chose to place the image in the centre as it is the focal point of my DPS and would attract the readers eye.
The next screen grab shows that my standfirst is placed beneath my title and it is a generic feature of a magazine. My standfirst also includes my by line which shows who has produced the images and wrote the article, this too is a code and ocnvention of all music mgazines.
This final sreen shot was taken at the beginning of my production of the double page spread and shows the title of the article bleeding across the two pages.
